Midi rugby in a fun environment
Welcome to Cirencester RFC Under 12s’ website where you should find everything you need to know about coaching, fixtures, directions and contact details for this age group.
Coaching usually takes place each Sunday at Cirencester Rugby Club, The Whiteway, Cirencester (10 – 12 noon).
The emphasis is on the development of basic rugby skills and technique within the RFU’s Mini & Midi rugby framework and, crucially, enjoyment for ALL boys participating.
At Under 12, the boys see the introduction of a 13th player to the team with a No 8 joining the previous five-man scrum.
Our role as coaches is to prepare the boys in order to achieve their undoubted potential and to equip them for the season ahead to the best of our capability. This means coaching responsibly and safely in all relevant aspects of play at this level and imparting a sound understanding of the laws of the game. It is also our duty as coaches to instil within the boys a commitment to team play, discipline and sportsmanship within a fun environment.
Parents wishing to dicuss any aspect of coaching or selection are encouraged to do so. Similarly, anyone wishing to join the Under 12s, assist with the coaching or running of this age group, should contact Haimish Mead on 01285 642499 or Keith Gale (Windy) on 01285 640182, or simply attend a Sunday session at 10am. New players always welcome.
